ERPEC & IDAC 2017
Talking business and collaboration in Amsterdam
Keynote speaker, Ruth Leach, GM Retail Engineering, Shell international talks with erpec & idac 17 main sponsor, Jeannot Bruggeling, Commercial Director, Bever Innovations.
“If we don’t commit ourselves to reducing our carbon footprint
at home, how can we truly begin to address the environmental
challenges that confront us in industry” was one of the more
poignant points made by Ruth Leach from Shell in her key-note
address at the idac & erpec 17 conference, staged last
month in the Netherland’s capital city, Amsterdam.
Explaining how she personally adopts a range of energy
conservation and recycling practices in her own household,
Ruth then went on to outline Shell’s passionate commitment
to sustainability and reducing CO2 emissions in everything it
produces. She also talked openly about the importance of the
industry pulling together in order for it to achieve meaningful
targets in fighting climate change over the next two decades
Twenty speakers, 245 delegates and over 1000 one-on-one
meetings are the key statistics surrounding this inter-national
industry business forum which embraced Europe,
America, The Middle East, Africa, Asia and even countries as
far as Australia and New Zealand. “Bringing so many people
together in such a short space of time can produce challeng-es
of its own, but we were delighted with the overall perfor-mance
of erpec 17” said McLean Events Managing Director,
Nick Needs. “The team worked incredibly hard this year to
bring about some new concepts like the idac international
conference and the exhibition showcase, which contributed
directly to attracting so many senior oil company represent-atives
to the event. However, to have such a strong rep-resentation
from the MOC’s and to be able to offer an industry
platform for suppliers to meet with them face to face every
two years, is really what erpec is all about and we are pleased
that for the 20th time it achieved all its primary objectives”.
Pictures always say more than words so here are a few
which hopefully sum up Amsterdam 17. If you want to see
more of these please visit www.beverinnovations.com/night-watch
which include the pictures delegates had taken with
the ‘Night Watch’ replica on display. Have a great summer!
